Five die in separate incidents in Attock

TAXILA: Five people were killed in different incidents in Attock on Tuesday.

Two persons died on the spot when a speeding minibus rammed into a motorcycle rickshaw near Garhi Hassu on RawalpindiFatehjang Road. The deceased were identified as Mohammad Nawaz, 22, and Asif Javaid, 34.

The bus driver fled from the scene.

In another incident in the same area, a man working on a boring machine was electrocuted inJaffar village. The victim Akhtar Zaman, 30, was a father of five.

Moreover, a man allegedly committed suicide in his house in Kunda village in Jand police station limits. Quoting family members of the deceased, the police said Mohammad Hashim, 24, was upset due to some domestic issues.

On Tuesday, he allegedly shot himself with his 30-bore pistol in his house.

Separately, a labourer died after a big mass of sand caved in during work at the sand supply site near Haji Shah village of Attock.

Rescue 1122 officials retrieved thebody of the victim Muneer Ahmed, 25, after efforts of half an hour.

Police registered separate cases and have started investigations.

Murder probe Police have formed three teams to resolve the case of abduction and murder of a 12-year-old boy whose body was found near a nullah on G.T. Road in Taxila on Sunday.

Rawalpindi`s Potohar Town SP Syed Ali told mediapersons on Tuesday that these teams would work under the supervision of SSPoperations, Rawalpindi, Mohammad Faisal. He said officials from the counter-terrorism department as well as IT department would also be part of these teams.

He said that besides geo-fencing of the place of the incident the footage from nearby CCTV cameras would also be obtained to identify the culprit behind the murder of 12-year-old boy Wasif Shah, the son of a motor mechanic.

`According to the preliminary medical examination no signs of sexual assault were found on the body,` SP All said.
