PML-N workers in Dir join PPP

TIMERGARA: Scores of PML-N workers in Lugman Banda area in Lower Dir have quit their party and joined PPP.
They made the announcement during a function, held for the purpose in the area. MPA Sahibzada Sanaullah was chief guest on the occasion.
The PML-N workers, who parted ways with their party and joined PPP, included Baharud Din, Khanai Mula, Gul Din Khan, Sulaiman Khan, Raham Bacha and others.
Spealcing on the occasion, Sahibzada Sanaullah said that he believed in serving people. He said that people of Dir were deceived through hollow slogans as no one took care of them after getting votes from them.
The MPA said that people of Lower and Upper Dir were kept deprived of their rights for the last 40 years but next time they would not vote for the already tested politicians. FIRE: Valuable household items gutted when fire broke out in the house of Ihsanullah in Bandai Shah area in Samar Bagh on Monday night.
The owner alleged that someone deliberately set his house on fire when he along with other inmates had gone to a relative`s house. He said the fire damaged household items including 20 tola gold, 12,000 Saudi Riyals, Rs150,000 cash, furniture, refrigerators, ceiling fans and electronic appliances. He demanded probe into the incident.
SEMINAR: The Pashto department of University of Malakand on Tuesday arranged a daylong seminar on `Relations of Pakhtuns and Moghals` that was attended by teachers and students. The seminar was addressed by research fellow from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad Dr Himayatullah Yaqubi, Prof Iftikhar Ahmad Yousafzai, Karam Satar Yaqubi, Dr Ali Khel Daryab and others.
PROJECTS: Provincial Minister for Finance Muzaffar Said inaugurated black topping of two kilometres Shatai Darra road the other day. The project would cost Rs26.5 million.
