HYDERABAD: The meeting of senate of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS) was held on Friday after seven years which took up some important matters.
LUMHS vice chancellor Prof Ikram Din Ujjan said that long awaited senate meeting explored the journey of this institution from 2016 to date.
LUMHS made great progress and a number of academic programmes were launched including establishment of Bilawal Medical College and College of Technology.
Lately, Thatta Campus was opened.
The VC said that LUMHS launched executive MBA programme and established collaboration with Silicon ValleyCalifornia USA, 29 students of first batch got a chance of training programme in USA. He said that International Masters in Public Health Progra-mme was launched in 2022 which was a joint venture of varsity with Nanjing University China, first batch of admitted students have been sent to Nanjing University China for training and research work. International Collab-oration for Research with Faculty members of Oxford University was developed.
The senate unanimously approved annual reports of LUMHS till 2023 whereas expenditure & budget estimates were approved up to 2024.
