LARKANA: Former Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) senior vice president Sardar Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto has decided to support the Larkana Awami Ittehad (LAl) in the upcoming general elections but not to contest on any seat.
Speaking to his voters and supporters in his native Mirpur Bhutto village within PS-10 constituency on Friday, he said: `After long thinking, I have decided not to participate in the upcoming elections. There are many reasons but these will be improper to explain at this moment. Many things which I know but you have no knowledge about them. But I can share two reasons; firstly, my health does not permit me to enter into a difficult and long electioneering; and secondly, it has become clear that the government to be formed after the upcoming elections would be a short-lived one`.
Ameer Bhutto was of the view that the next government could hardly survive for one or one-and-a-half year. After that, a new government and new system would be in place, also for a brief time, he added.
