RAWALPINDI: A 100-year-old woman died while another woman, 66, suffered burn injuries after being trapped in a fire that erupted in their room in Dhoke Kala Khan on Monday.
The incident occurred in Dhoke Kala Khan when the two elderly women were injured badly one of whom died on the spot while the other was shifted to the hospital with critical burn injuries.
According to rescue sources, the fire erupted due to a gas heater which was left burning while the two women were sleeping.
Sara Bibi, 100 passed away while Rabia Bibi, 66, was badly burnt.
Shortly after the fire incident, fire fighters from emergency services reached the spot, controlled the fire and shifted the injured and dead to the hospital. Staff Reporter
