KARACHI: Habib University, along with its international partner Texas A&MUniversity,collegeof Engineering, recently carried out a 48-hour `Invent for the Planet` challenge 2022.

Every year, the challenge is organised by Texas A&M University to create solutions for global issues. This year`s event aimed to engineer and find viable solutions to some of the earth`s problems in sustainability, cli-mate change and clean energy.

Student teams worked with faculty members and industry leaders to solve critical global issues along with 35+ universities across the world participating in the event.

Habib University (HU), being a part of this major international event, housed its students at the university`s playground (centre for transdisciplinary design and innovation) for threedays and nights and provided them with a space and environment, where they could brainstorm and come up withgame-changingideaswhichwould help change the world for better.

A total of nine teams participated in the event from the university. The session concluded with the project prototypes and ideas being presented to the facultymembersandindustryleaders.
