LAHORE: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday arrested three suspects for online sale of counterfeit US dollars.

According to the FIA, cyber crime wing of Lahore arrested Sohail Ahmad, Zaka and Fahad in the city on complaints that this gang sold counterfeit US dollars worth Rs1.7 million online to them (complainants).

The FIA said the suspects would give online advertisement regarding dealing in foreign currency and they also illegally used the Apps of some known exchange companies to defraud the people.

It said foreign currency, mobile phones and laptops had been recovered from them. A case has been registered against the suspects and interrogation is under way whether more members are working with them.
