12 officers transferred in another reshuffle

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Thursday transferred 12 officers including a divisional commissioner and six deputy commissioners out of which four were posted only a week ago.

A notification issued by the establishment department said that commissioner Kohat division Shaukat Ali Yousfzai, PMS, BS-20, has been transferred and directed to report to the establishment department.

Member Board of Revenue Mohammad Ali Shah, PCS, BS-20, has been transferred and posted as commissioner Kohat.

Similarly, Deputy Commissioner Bannu Tashfeen Haider, PMS, BS-19, has been transferred and posted as special secretary at the energy and power department and additional secretary law Manzoor Ahmed Afridi, PMS, BS-19, has been posted as DC Bannu.

DC Dera Ismail Khan Mohammad Qaiser Khan, PAS, BS-19, has been transferred and directed to report to the establishment department while Mansoor Arshad, PAS, BS-18, has been posted as DC Dera IsmailKhan.

DC Bajaur Mohammad Zubair Khan Niazi, PAS, BS-18, has been repatriated to the establishment division while Mohammad Anwarul Haq, PMS, BS-19,has been posted as DC Bajaur.

Besides, DC Lakki Marwat Adnan Farid, PAS, BS-19, has been transferred and posted as DC Charsadda while DC Charsadda Abdul Hadi, PMS, BS-18, has been transferred and posted as DC Lakki Marwat.

DC Tank Hameedullah, PMS, BS-18, has been transferred and posted as additional secretary sports and youth affairs department while additional secretary sports and youth affairs Mohamamd Shoaib, PMS, BS-18, has been posted as DC Tank.

Commissioner Kohat and DCs of Bannu, Bajaur, Lakki Marwat and Charsadda were posted after the first major reshuffle of provincial bureaucracy on Feb 16.

Sources told Dawn that at least three of the transfers were made on the insistence of a senior JUI-F leader. They said that commissioner Kohat and DC Bajaur had ruffled the feathers of the senior JUI-F leader during their posting to his native town Bannu.

Similarly, DC Bannu was re-posted within a week to accommodate the leader`s blue-eyed boy. `JUI-F and PML-N leaders had met the prime minister a day earlier to set the transfers and postings in motion, the source said. Bureau Report
