KARACHI: The Governor-General of Pakistan declared on Thursday night [Feb 23] that acceptance of Pakistan`s Proposals to India regarding the procedure to be followed for settling disputes will eliminate the `hazards of an armed conflict`.
Reiterating that war will ruin both the countries, the Governor-General hoped that Pakistan`s proposals regarding a `no war` declaration will be `seriously considered by India,` and tangible steps taken to come to an understanding. `It is deeds and not words which count, and unless we carry out what we profess we cannot make any progress, he added.
