SAHIWAL: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Multan has imposed a ban on uploading and sharing of guess papers, pairing schemes and previous examination papers on social media platforms.

This action has been taken following reports that public and private teachers are publishing such materials on popular social media platforms for students. The BISE Multan controller exam issued a notification (No. 373/CE dated March 23), stating that these practices are now prohibited in the four districtsKhanewal, Vehari,Okara, and Multan. He has directed the district education officers of four districts to remain vigilant, emphasizing that such acts are considered crimes under the Punjab Universities and Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education Malpractices Act 1950 (amended in 1999).

The notification further states that those found guilty may face up to three years of imprisonment and a fine of up to Rs50,000. Additionally, violators-particularly public and private teachers-may also be prosecuted under the Prevention of Electronic Crime Act and Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006.
