PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government on Wednesday posted Mohammad Khalid as secretary information and public relations department.

A notification issued from the establishment department here said Mr Khalid, (BS-20), awaiting posting at the establishment department, had been posted secretary information and public relations department. It said Mr Khalid replaced Shahid Sohail, (BS-20), secretary administration department, of the additional charge.

The post had been lying vacant since March 22, when the provincial government transferred the then secretary information Arshad Khan over `violation of government advertisement policy.` The move came after several public sector advertisements carrying Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur`s pictures appeared in newspapers, attracting criticism from the government.
