70 supervisory staff removed for aiding cheating in SSC exams

CH ARSADDA: About 70 supervisory staff have been removed for negligence in duties, aiding and abetting cheating during the ongoing matriculation examinations being conducted by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar.
These cases were sent to the disciplinary committee for further action, while the affiliation of three private schools with the board was also terminated.
Briefing reporters, secretary education board Mehdi Jan Khan, controller of examinations Inamullah Khan, and deputy secretary Alamzeb Khan, said as per the vision of chief secretary ShahabAli Shah, efforts were being made to eliminate cheating and conduct clean and transparent examinations in a pleasant and peaceful environment.
They said steps taken to eliminate cheating and cheating mafia were yielding significant positive results.
Mehdi Jan said so far, 70 supervisory staff had been removed on complaints of negligence in duties and aiding in cheating, and their cases had been sent to the disciplinary committee for further action.
He said affiliation of three schools with the board had been terminated on complaints of cheating and copying afterthe stipulated time due to collusion between the examination staff and their administrations.
These schools included Khyber Model School and College for Girls, Kids Garden, Nothia Peshawar, and Mohmand Grammar School, Yakkaghund.
He said that the staff should maintain discipline in the examination halls and completely eliminate any kind of disorder and cheating.
ANTI-ISRAEL RALLY: A rally to express solidarity with the Palestinians and condemn Israeli atrocities in Gaza was held in Charsadda Bazaar here on Wednesday.
The rally participated bya large number of people was organised by the Charsadda Chappal Maker Association.
The rally passed through various roads, including Peshawar Road, Mardan Road, Tangi Road, Nowshera Road and ended at Farooq Azam Chowk.
The participants, while chanting slogans against Israel and its allied countries, announced a complete boycott of buying and selling Israeli products. The rally was led by the association`s president Waheedullah.
The speakers condemned the oppression and barbarity of Israel, America and their allies against Palestinians. Correspondent
