LAKKI MA RWAT: Two alleged militants were killed in a clash with security forces in the border area between L akki and Tank tribal subdivisions on Thursday.

An of ficial source said that security forces stationed at Chega L ar Paakhel were carrying out a search operation in Lakki tribal subdivision when they learnt about presence of militants in Lewanai Pewa border village.

`The soldiers came under attack when they reached the area and started to cordon it off,` said the source, adding that security personnel retaliated and during a gun battle two militants were killed.

He said that the bodies of militants were taken to FC fortin Mastikhel area.

`The militants were identified as Wazir Zaman, a resident of Haramatala in Lakki Marwat, and Zubair of tribal subdivision Jandola in Tank,` he said.-Correspondent
