CDA commences beautification of Islamabad

2014-08-24
ISLAMABAD: In a bid to improve aesthetics of the city, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has launched a comprehensive campaign to trim down wild bushes and grass in various localities of the federal capital.

An official of the CDA said the beautification process in the parks, children`s play areas and greenbelts are already in full swing, while trimming of wild bushes, shrubs and grass has also started.

The official said the departments concerned were cutting bushes and grass to avoid hindrances on the footpaths, playgrounds and parks.

He claimed that the mushroom growth of unnecessary bushes and grass have covered the footpaths, which pose a huge risk to the pedestrians, who have to walk on the road.
