PESHAWAR: A militant was killed during an exchange of fire between security forces and militants on the night between Aug 22 and 23 in the Ladha area of South Waziristan tribal district.

A statement issued here by the ISPR on Wednesday said that one militant was killed during the exchange of fire between security forces and militants in the Ladha area.

A weapon and ammunition were recovered from the dead militant who had been involved in various terrorist activities in the area.

“Sanitisation of the area is being carried out to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area,” the statement said.—Bureau Report
