National Day of Turkey celebrated

PESHAWAR: Turkish Ambassador to Pakistan, Mustafa Yurdakul, visited Peshawar on Saturday and held a meeting with a delegation of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government.

Health minister Hisham Inamullah welcomed the Turkish ambassador at a local hotel in Peshawar.

Khyber Pakhtunl(hwa Governor Shah Farman, information minister Shaukat Yousafzai and finance minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra along with some MPAs and guests were also present on the occasion.

Special arrangements were made on the occasion to celebrate the 96th National Day of Turkey.

Governor Shah Farman said on the occasion that Pakistan and Turkey were tied in Muslim brotherhood and their relations were stable from decades, which would be strengthened.

Mr Inamullah thanked the visiting guests and said that Pakistan and Turkey shared deep political and religious relations.

He said that the Muslim community in the world was looking towards Turkey and Pakistan in time of religious crisis for response.

Mr Yurdakul lauded the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for celebrating the Turkish National Day in Peshawar. He said that relations of both countries would become better and stronger in future. Turkey and Pakistan stand side by side during any crisis, which shows that they have well-established relations, he said.
