`Protests against govt to continue`

PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party has asked its workers to ensure their participation in all the protest demonstrations and rallies of the opposition parties to mobilise the people against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government in different districts.

PPP provincial president Mohammad Humayun Khan said this while addressing a workers` meeting here on Saturday. He said that all the office-bearers had been directed to follow the party policy and ensure participation of maximum of the workers in the scheduled rallies.

The workers, he said, would remain peaceful and would not take part inany kind of violent activity or damaging the state properties.

The workers will follow the instructions of their district level office-bearers.

He said that the opposition parties had reached a consensus to continue protest activities against the government as the rulers had failed to resolve the problems being faced by the nation.

He said that price hil(e was on its peal( which had made the lives of the poor people extremely miserable.

Mr Humayun said that the government had focused its attention only on victimisation of the opposition leaders. He said that former president Asif Ali Zardari was being denied proper medical treatment.
