KARACHl: Armed muggers shot at and wounded a man and snatched Rs1 million from him in the Manghopir area on Thursday, police said.
Area SHO Majid Alvi said Javed Brohi had drawn Rs1m from a private bank in Orangi Town. He reached near his home in Ramzan Goth, where armed muggers on a motorbike intercepted him and demanded the money which he had kept in a bag. Instead of handing them the cash, he threw the bag at some distance.
The robbers shot him and took away the cash. Brohi suffered a bullet wound in the leg and was taken to a hospital for treatment.
