LAHORE: In a show of solidarity with the Palestinian people, the Pakistan Kissan Rabita Committee, Labour Education Foundation, and Trade Union Action Committee organised a protest outside the labour department here on Thursday.

The demonstration, aligned with the Global Day of Action, aimed at drawing attention of the world towards the pressing need for addressing the ongoing crisis in Gaza. The demonstrators unanimously demanded an immediate ceasefire and an end to the blockade of Gaza.

PKRC general secretary Farooq Tariq said there could be no climate justice without human rights and urged the world leaders to call for an end to the Israel occupation of Gaza. Baba Latif, a central leader of the TU Action Committee, expressed his deep concern over the silence of global institutions regarding the Zionist state`s actions. Staff Reporter
