QUETTA: Security forces claimed on Tuesday to have arrested three militants belonging to the banned Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) from Nassai area of Qila Saifullah.Security personnel raided the area bordering Afghanistan early Tuesday morning and took the three suspectsinto custody.

Arms and ammunition was seized from the house from where the suspects were hauled, officials said, adding: `The three alleged TTP men have been handed over to the author-ities concerned for interrogation.

Police refused to disclose the names of the suspects.

Security forces have stepped up raids in northern Balochistan on information received after the Peshawar Army Public School incident.

Recently they arrested fouralleged TTP militants, including a localleaderofthe group.

More than 60 Afghan national have also been arrested from Sariab and other areas of Quetta in a crackdown on those living there without legal documents.

Police booked them under the Foreigner Act, an official said.
