By Our Staff Reporter 2014-12-24
LAHORE: Prices of LPG surged to Rs250 per kilogram after the marketing companies increased these from Rs20 to 50 per Kg on Tuesday.

According LPG Distributor Association Pakistan, the prices should have been reduced keeping in view massive reduction in the price of commodity internationally, but the LPG mafia earned a huge amount by increasing its price by Rs100 per Kg during the last 15 days.

`This is due to government, which is overlooking the black marketing of the marketing companies involved in raising prices unlawfully,` association`s chief Irfan Khokhar said in a statement.

He expressed his astonishment over the government`s inaction despite being in the knowledge about Rs150 million unlawful earning daily by the companies by fleecing the public at large in winter.

`The Ogra must launch a crackdown against the mafia,` he said.
