THIS is apropos the news item (Dec 21) which tells us that the rights group opposes lifting of moratorium on executions of terrorists.
Their plea is that executing people was not the answer to combating terrorism. If we accept the Amnesty International`s plea, then, in my opinion, the US and Nato`s attack on Afghanistan and on IS in Iraq and Syria looks absurd.
The Amnesty should come forward with a concrete, solid and practical solution to combating terrorism. Only Pakistan is not supposed to follow and abide the international law, powerful countries should set an example first.
