Doctors` security fears allayed

KARACHI: Sindh police IG Ghulam Haider Jamali on Tuesday said that security concerns of doctors would be addressed and asked the Karachi police chief to hold meeting with the Pakistan Medical Association (PMA) representatives to design a security plan for health practitioners, said a statement.

`The Sindh IG, while taking notice of the PMA protest, has directed the additional IG of Karachi to hold meeting with the association`s office bearers and form a strategy to resolve their reservations about security of doctors, the statement added.

`He said that all possible steps will be taken for security of doctors. The district SSPs will also be bound to take action at the police station level on complaints of doctors.
