Woman killed

ISLAMABAD: A woman was killed in Shakrial on Friday, where she was living with her brother and sister.
According to the police, Shagufta Bibi had returned home to find her elder sister, 55-year-old Parveen Akhtar dead with her legs bound by an electric wire, a noose fashioned out of cloth around her neck and signs of trauma on her body.
The victim`s brother, Nadeem Ahmed, who works as a taxi driver, told the police that he and his younger sister, who works for a pharmaceutical company, left the house in the morning and returned at about 5pm.
`I left for the barber`s when I dropped my sister at home. I later received a call from the neighbours who asked me to come back home,` he said.
Shagufta said the locks on the doors were broken when she got home and it had seemed like someone hadgone throughthehouse as everything was displaced.
The siblings said cash and valuables worth Rs175,000 was also missing.
