TOBA TEK SINGH: The lumberdar of Chak 363-JB was murdered in Gojra on Tuesday.

Witnesses say Rana Tehzeeb Ali Khan was wounded in a drive-by shooting while he was travelling by a car on Tehsil Road near a girls high school.

He was taken to the Gojra THQ hospital where he later passed away from his wounds.

A police official said the victim`s rivals may have been the murderers.

The Gojra city police registered a case against two unidentified bikers on the complaint of his younger brother, Rana Taimoor Anwar.

RAPE: A man allegedly raped a minor girl in the Massin police area of Chak Saliana Bela Ahmad Ali Wala on Tuesday.

The complainant informed police that his nine-year-old daughter was returning from school when the suspect of thesame locality took her to a sugarcane field and raped her.

Police were conducting raids to arrest the suspect.

Also, a woman was kidnapped from Gojra Chak 349-JB.

According to the Gojra Saddar police, complainant Imtiaz Rasool said his daughter Natasha was kidnapped by Aftab Ahmad, Muhammad Arshad and Saglain Ali in a car.

SUICIDE ATTEMPT: A woman shot herself when she learned that her husband had contracted a second marriage in Gojra on Tuesday night.

Police said Abdul Waheed Chaand of Gojra Chak 310-JB, Bhoopalwala, contracted second marriage. His first wife, Hafza Bibi, shot herself with her husband`s pistol.

She was rushed to the Gojra THQ Hospital where doctors referred her to the Faisalabad`s Allied Hospital.
