NAROWAL: As many as 19 passengers suffered injuries in a bus-truck collision due to fog on Wednesday in Sialkot.

The incident occurred as the passenger bus, en route from Sialkot to Faisalabad, collided with a truck near Othian stop on Daska-Gujranwala Road. On receiving information about the accident, Rescue 1122 teams reached the scene and took the passengers out of the bus with the help of locals.

Rescuers shifted the injured to Daska Tehsil Headquarters Hospital. The injured have been identified as Muneeb Ali, Basharat Ali, Bilqis Bibi, Ayesha Bibi, Shabnam Bibi, Hamid Ali, Muhammad Umar and Shabbir Ahmed.

Rescue 1122 media coordinator Muhammad Waseem said eight passengers sustained serious injuries in the accident. He said the accident occurred due to heavy fog.
