LAHORE: The Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) on Friday approved three development schemes at a cost of Rs20.59 billion.
The PDWP’s 59th meeting, chaired by P&D Board chairman Barrister Nabeel Awan, approved a comprehensive door-to-door socio-economic survey of Punjab for establishing the Punjab Socio-Economic Registry (PSER) at an estimated cost of Rs9.17 billion.
The development scheme of dualisation of the Lodhran-Kheror Pacca-Mailsi-Vehari Road, District Lodhran (Phase-II), covering the remaining 20km, at an estimated cost of Rs4.35 billion.
The board also approved an estimated cost of Rs7.06 billion for rehabilitation of the Gujrat-Sargodha Road, from Km 27.90 to 122.20 (dual carriageway), with a total length of 94.3km, district Mandi Bahauddin.
The meeting was attended by P&D Board Secretary Dr Asif Tufail, Chief Economist Masood Anwar, board members and other senior officers.
