Three of family killed in motorcycle accident

SARGODHA: Three members of a family, including a woman, were killed when a speeding dumper hit their motorcycle near Chak Khana, Sial Mor, 35 kilometres from here, on Friday.
The family was returning home on a motorcycle when the dumper, coming from the opposite direction, struck them.
Bushra Bibi and Mazhar died on the spot, while Sabtain sustained critical injuries. The rescue team rushed the injured to DHQ Hospital, but Sabtain also succumbed to his injuries.
The dumper driver fled the scene, abandoning the vehicle, which was seized by the police. An investigation is underway.
BISP FRAUD: Five suspects were booked for fraudulentlyextorting money from the Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP). Suspects Shahid Imran, Naeem Abbas, Qaiser Sharif, Muhammad Arshad and Sajid allegedly collected money from over a dozen women through fraudulent means.
The Lakseen police registered an FIR. The suspects remain at large.
RECOVERED: Police recovered a stolen truck worth Rs6 million and handed it over to its owner.
In a crackdown on criminal elements, Sajid Shaheed police arrested a suspect involved in the theft. The truck, stolen four years ago, was retrieved after legal proceedings.
The accused is now in judicial custody.
ARMED CLASH: Six people were seriously injured in an armed clash between two groups over adomestic dispute near Toll Plaza, Chund Bridge, on Sargodha-Jhang Road.
The injured, identified as Waqar Ahmed, Bashir Ahmed, Amanullah, Murad Bashir, Zulfiqar, and Mustafa, were rescued and shifted to the hospital.
The police are investigating the incident.
ELECTROCUTED: Two valuable buffaloes died after being electrocuted while grazing near an electric pole in Chak 51, Sargodha.
According to sources, the buffaloes came into contact with live wires that had fallen from the main power line due to alleged negligence by the power company.
The owner of the buffaloes, who suffered a loss of Rs1 million, has appealed to the authorities to compensate him for the incident.
