Three killed in rival groups clash

RAWALPINDI: Three people were killed and one was injured in a clash between two rival groups in the limit of Chontra police on Tuesday, police said.
Rafaqat Ali 23, who sustained bullet injuries in the clash, was shifted to the District Headquarters Hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
SP Ghayas Gul said clash between the two groups started in Talvali Mohra area after the sunset and both used automatic weapons.
He said Adnan Ali, 19, Noman Khan, 22, and Rafaqat Ali 23 were hunting rabbits in the area when they were ambushed by their rivals.
Adnan and Noman were killed on the spot while Rafaqat was injured critically.
One member of the other group was also killed in the clash.
He was, however, yet to be identified as his face was smashed beyond recognition.
`Apparently, it was a pre-planned attack and the man killed from the attackers was hired for this purpose,` the SP said.
None of the accused from both the rival groups was captured by the police so far.
The bodies of the victims were shifted to the DHQ hospital for postmortem people from both the rival groups started gathering.
