POLITICIANS and political parties in Pakistan happen to be clueless about what they need to do to set things right.
But, unfortunately, they are not alone in their cluelessness. There are many other institutions that clearly happen to be in the same boat, with the judiciary not being an exception on this critical count.A number of vacancies have remained vacant, while the pile of pending cases is moving vertically upwards. The cause list every day comprises over a hundred cases, involving thousands of litigants including the old, the infirm and the pensioners.
It is only natural that most of the cases get rolled over to some other date because a judge cannot dispense justice to hundred cases every day. The misery of the judge is no less than the misery of the public.
In theinterest oftruejusticein the country, the situation needs to change, and it needs to change rather quickly.
