DERA GHAZI KHAN: South Punjab Additional Inspector General of Police Maqsoodul Hassan stressed the need for exchange of information between police of DG Khan and Bahawalpur regions to suppress the criminal elements in the riverine area.
He said this while presiding over a meeting held at the DG Khan Regional Police Office here on Saturday to review the steps taken by the police to restore law and order in the riverine area and the future strat-egy to deal with criminal elements.
The meeting was attended by DG Khan RPO retired Capt Sajjad Hasan Khan, Bahawalpur RPO RaiBabar Saeed and Rahim Yar Khan DPO Rizwan Umar Gondal.
The RPOs of DG Khan and Bahawalpur informed the meeting about the geographical situation of riverine area, the overall crime situation and the gangs operating there, besides the ongoing police operation against these criminals.
