HYDERABAD: Four assistant commissioners of Hyderabad have imposed a total of Rs81,500 fine on 27 retailers across the city for overcharging.

Besides imposing penalties, they warned many shopkeepers to charge fair prices according to official lists or face similar action.

City AC Ahmed Murtaza and mukhtiarkar Ali Sher Badrani visited different areas of the city taluka and imposed Rs30,000 fine on shopkeepers after finding them charging exorbitant rates.

Likewise, Qasimabad AC Gada Hussain Soomro and mukhtiarkar Altaf Korejo imposed Rs25,000 penalties on profiteers.
