LAHORE: The Punjab Institute of Language, Art and Culture (Pilac) organised an exhibition of miniature artworks in collaboration with VSCOPK.

Watercolourist and art historian Dr Ajaz Anwar and Pilac Director Asim Chaudhry opened the event. The exhibition featured works depicting historical mountains, rivers, birds, Minar-i-Pakistan and other such places.

The exhibition featured artworks by Saba Alams, Malaika Zainab, Maria Chauhdry, Aniga Abid, Afsheen Naz, Aleezay Ejaz and Fiza Aslam. The art show displayed Mughal and contemporary miniature works.

On the occasion, Mr Chaudhry said Pilac provided a place to young artists free of cost. He said the art gallery at Pilac was established to promote youngtalentin visualart.

`We have written letters to educational institutions where visual art is being taught that they send their students or emerging artists to exhibit their work at Pilac Art Gallery and response to this offer in this regard has been quite encouraging,` he said.
