SOUTH WAZlRISTAN: A doctor working with the Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), who was kidnapped in Lower South Waziristan district a month ago, was freed on Monday.
Sources confirmed that Dr Nauman Khattak was kidnapped by militants during a free medical camp organised by PRCS at the health centre in Azam Warsak last month.
The Lower South Waziristan deputy commissioner confirmed Dr Khattak`s release, stating that after the completion of initial investigation, the doctor was sent home.
In addition to Dr Khattak`s abduction, two customs officers, superintendent Nisar Abbas and inspector Khushal, still remain untraced after being kidnapped a month ago near the Angoor Adda border.
The officers were abducted by armed men in Sholam area when they were returning from the border. Correspondent
