LAHORE: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) issued on Monday lab test reports of 16 dairy items, declaring milk of many companies fit for human consumption.

According to a press release, the samples of packaged milk of Olper, Haleeb, Good Milk, Nestle Milk Pack, Nesvita and Noorpur are fit for human consumption. The samples of these companies were tested by local and international labs. Similarly, the samples of pasteurized milk namely Acha, Adams, Anhar, Prema, Daily Dairy, Day Fresh, Doce, Gouremet, Malmo and Neutrio also passed the test.

`We had taken these samples during the period of March 15 to 20. We got them tested from the PCSIR and two German labs SGS and Intertek,` said PFA Director General Noorul Amin Mengal, in a press release. He said before taking samples, the PFA teams of technical experts paid 90 visits to these companies time to time and issued necessary directions for improvement. He said the PFA had also decided to repeat such exercise twice in a year. Staff Reporter
