Action sought against `influential` clerks

2017-04-25
BUNER: The opposition leader in the Buner district council on Monday demanded of the authorities to take action against the five clerks in the local education office, who he said, were instrumental in transfers and postings of teachers and assigning examination duties.

Talking to mediapersons here on Monday, Haji Sadiqullah said that both the treasury and opposition members had unanimously passed a resolution about three months ago demanding action against the clerks, but to no avail. He said the councillors had then vowed that no council session would be convened until the authorities took action against the clerks, but the clerks continued to exercise the unlawful authority.

He said the district nazim, deputy commissioner and district education officer had been informed about the blacl( sheep in the education office, but they took no action.

Haji Sadiqullah alleged that the examination and census duties were also assigned to the blue-eyed persons of the clerks. Correspondent
