KARACHI: Mr Li Hsien-nien, Vice-Premier of the People`s Republic of China, said in Karachi last night [April 24] that Sino-Pakistan friendship had `struck roots in the hearts of the people in both the countries`. Speaking at a banquet, hosted by the Acting Governor [of Sind], Mr Justice Abdul Kadir Shaikh, at the ... Governor`s House, he said `it not only accords with the fundamental interest of our people, but is in the interest of the Third World`s cause of unity against imperialism and hegemonism`. Speaking about Pakistan`s economic development, Mr Li Hsien-nien said, `we have been deeply inspired and have learnt a great deal. We sincerely wish you will make new and steady progress on your road of advance`. News agencies [Meanwhile, as reported by news agencies from Peking,] Premier Chou En-lai said today [April 24] Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam were linked to China `like the lips to the teeth` and Peking would always support the `just struggles` of their peoples.
