KARACHI, May 24: Private schools in the city have started approaching the private school directorate of the Sindh education department for permission to observe summer vacation in June and July as usual.

The applicant schools included both the O/A Level and Matric system ones, the source added.

On Wednesday, the secretary of the education department had told Dawn that his department had in principle decided to receive applications from all those educational institutions willing to observe summer vacation in June-July this year.

However, any approval from the chief minister on the subject was still awaited until a formal directive was issued by the higher authorities.
