KARACHI: Passenger trains between Lahore and Amritsar may be resumed within the next few months. Sources close to the Pakistan delegation to the Delhi Conference on Railways disclosed that both sides expressed a desire for early resumption of passenger traffic. Guarantee of safety of the passengers, it is said, was the main difficulty. Conditions during the next few months, it is hoped, would improve sufficiently to allow resumption of passenger service.
