TOBA TEK SINGH: Faisalabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) judge Raja Shahid Zameer granted on Monday bail before arrest to six Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leaders in four FIRs registered against them on May 9, 2023, for their alleged involvement in an attack on an intelligence agency`s offices and other violent incidents in Faisalabad.

The PTI leaders who appeared before the court included opposition leader in the National Assembly Umer Ayub, Zain Qureshi, Zartaj Gul, Shibli Fraz, Azam Swati and Fawad Chaudhry.

The judge expressed annoyance over delay in completion of investigations of the cases and issued a showcause notice to the investigation in charge Abdul Jabbar for failing to submit the record of the cases with the court.

Later, speaking to the media persons outside the court, Umer Ayub termed all the four cases registered against them fabricated, `like dozens of others` they were facing in different courts.

PTI leader Babar Awan urged the chief justice of supreme court to take suo motu notice of such `baseless` cases filed against and the PTI leaders and workers and order the police to quash the FIRs.
