KARACHI: Atlas Honda Ltd (AHL) plans to launch an electric scooters specifically designed for Pakistani consumers, following the government`s announcement of the National Electric Vehicle Policy (NEVP).

In a filing to the PSX on Tuesday, the company said it is actively engaging with regulatory bodies to obtain the necessary permissions and approvals to ensure a smooth rollout.

The company stated that it intends to launch the electric scooters before the end of the cur-rent fiscal year, after completing the required quality checks and road testing.

Inits annualreportfor the year ended March 2025, AHL outlined its long-term EV strategy, aiming to capture a significant share of Pakistan`s EV market by 2030. The company will focus on urban commuters, delivery services, and government fleet programmes.

It plans to differentiate itself through high-quality, locally assembled electric bikes, backed by its established brand reputation.-Staff Reporter
