Parvez stresses all state organs` role for stability

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf President Chaudhry Parvez Elahi has stressed that all state institutions should play their due roles along with politicians to drive the country out of the quagmire of political instability.
He was speaking to media persons at PTl leader Hammad Azhar`s residence, where he had arrived to offer dua on the death of Mian Muhammad Azhar on Thursday. He was accompanied by his son Rasikh Elahi and former secretary Punjab Assembly Muhammad Khan Bhatti.
Mr Elahi stressed that all state institutions should play their roles for the welfare of this nation and the country.
Answering a question about a proposed dialogue amongst politicians in the wake of political instability, he said, `Not only politicians, but all stakeholders carry the responsibility to work for the welfare of this nation and the country.
To a question, whether he would also play some kind of role in this situation, he said, `We will pray`.
Mr Elahi said the politician having impeccable credibility like Mian Muhammad Azhar had left this material world and added that he had three decades long association with the late Mr Azhar. `The late Mian Azhar struggled in politics with complete honesty and strong character`. He said Mr Azhar did a great service for this nation and the country during his struggle.
He prayed that the soul of Mr Azhar may rest in eternal peace in heaven and give strength to the bereaved family to bear this loss.
A large number of PTl leaders, workers and people from the cross section of society attended the Qul ceremony.
