Mother of five murdered `by husband` in Orangi Town

KARACHl: A mother of five children was killed, allegedly by her husband, in Orangi Town on Thursday, police said.
They said that Milkiyat, 45, was murdered by her husband, Shoaib, in their home situated in Frontier Colony.
Pirabad SHO Anees Rehman Shaikh said the suspect first hit his wife with a concrete block on her head. He then stabbed her and fled the home.
The officer said the incident took place in the presence of their children.
The injured woman was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
The officer attributed the murder to the couple`s domestic issues.
Police surgeon Dr Summaiya Syed said that a post-mortem examination of the victim was conducted at the ASH. She said the body was almost completely decapitated.
Armed clash leaves man dead A man was shot dead and two others sustained bullet injuries in a clash between two rival groups off Superhighway on Thursday, police said.
Sohrab Goth DSP Aurangzeb Khattak told Dawn that the armed clash took place in Ahsanabad. During the exchange of fire, one man, identified as Mohammed Ali, 30, was killed, while two others Zain Ahmed, 25 and Shahbaz, 22 were injured.
Police rushed to the scene and apprehended three suspects.
The officer said the rival sides were neighbours and had some personal enmity.
The body and the injured were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital.
PN employee killed on road A Pakistan Navy employee was killed in Malir on Thursday after being hit by a speeding vehicle, police said.
Malir City SHO Farasat Shah told Dawn that Zeeshan, 30, was riding a motorcycle when a 4x4 vehicle struck him in Gulshan-iQadri.
He sustained critical injuries and was transported to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
