Modern hospitals to be set up in Fata`

KALAYA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Iqbal Zafar Jhagra has said that state-of-the-art hospitals will be set up in Federally Administered Tribal Areas.

He was addressing a jirga in Mushti Maila area in Orakzai Agency on Thursday after inaugurating a 110 bedded hospital.

The governor said that availability of all required facilities would be made possible for mainstreaming and development of Fata. He said that initiatives were underway with the consent and desire of tribal people for development of Fata.

Mr Jhgra said that sacrifices rendered by tribal people for the protec-tion, security and stability of the country were valuable part of the national history. He said that the entire nation recognised the role and sacrinces of tribal people with great respect.

`Maintenance of peace and stability is must for carrying developmental activities in any area. It is because of this very fact that a number of developmental projects have been launched inFataafterrestorationofpeaceinthe region,` said the governor.

He said that peace and stability in the area would be maintained at every cost. He stated that it was top government of the government to provide equal opportunities at the national levelto the people ofFatafor develop-ment and progress in every field of life.

Responding to various points raised by elders, the governor announced approval for construction of Mamozai and Ghiljo roads and upgradation of the grid station at Ghiljo in Orakzai Agency.

He also directed the authorities concerned to ensure provision ofelectricity to t he residents of the respective areas. He also directed the officials concerned to take necessary stepsfor upgradation of the telephone exchanges in Ghiljo and Kalaya.

Later, the governor also inaugurated tree plantation campaign by planting a sapling on the premises of agency headquarters hospital.Correspondent
