GUJAR KHAN: Taking notice of escape of an accused from the police custody on Tuesday the city police officer (CPO) Rawalpindi suspended SHO and four other officials of Gujar Khan police on Wednesday.

Mohammad Jawaid, had a head money of Rs500,000, was allegedly involved in kidnapping for ransom, extortion and murders and arrested some two weeks ago. However, according to the insiders, the police authorities instead of putting him behind bars have kept him in a private cell with the permission of local police authorities. -Correspondent
