KARACHI: The Quaid-i-Azam, it is learned, has left behind a will which was drawn up in 1939, disposing of his personal property. Under the will the nation is the chief beneficiary as he has left the bulk of his property and possessions to a number of national educational institutions in Pakistan and India. These ... include the Aligarh Muslim University, the AngloArabic College of Delhi, a college in Bombay, the Islamia College in Peshawar and Sind Madressah, Karachi. Among the other beneficiaries are his sister Miss Fatima Jinnah, his daughter Mrs Wadia, and a number of relatives. Special correspondent [Meanwhile, according to reports,] The Governor-General of Pakistan has promulgated an Ordinance called the Pakistan (Control of Entry) Ordinance, 1948, which controls the entry of persons proceeding from India to Pakistan.
It says: No person proceeding from any place in India shall, unless exempted in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance or of the Rules made thereunder, enter any part of Pakistan unless a) being a person domiciled in India or Pakistan he is in possession of a valid permit, or; (b) being a person not so domiciled, he is in possession of a valid passport.
