BARRICADES NEAR HOSPITAL: Traffic police barricades placed in front of hospitals, especially the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore, are nothing but a hassle. The traffic police use such barricades to issue challans over frivolous charges, harassing patients and their families. Besides, the whole activity affects the flow of traffic. Saving human life should be given priority overissuing tickets to patients and their attendants. The relevant authorities should ensure that these barricades do not discourage people from receiving medical care.
Manazir Ali Lahore GREAT DANGER: Smuggling of Iranian oil through public transport is a dangerous activity. The provincial government had banned oil supply through passengerbuses after a fatal road accident in Hub left 35 people killed. Unfortunately, public transporters do not comply with traffic rules, and continue to carry illegal Iranian fuel in their vehicles. The government should show zero tolerance towards such a dangerous activity.
Dilshad Murad Turbat SWIMMING LESSONS: Swimming is a great skill which should be made a part of school curriculum, and learnt by everyone. Good swimmers can, and often are, life-saveres, saving their life and helping others in times of need.
MuhammadNaseem Pasni AUSTERITY MEASURES: We should run the affairs of the country prudently. No member of the interim government should be allowed to travel abroad, and all official meetings should be held using video links or through our ambassadors abroad.
The ruling elite should put off extra lights in official residences, and enforce the rules upon themselves just like the taxpayers are forced to pay their taxes. We must become honest humans and rebuild Pakistan.
