F A I S A L A B A D : Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) activists staged a demonstration outside the CPO ofhce on Wednesday in protest at, what they said, the inclusion of former law minister Rana Sanaullah`s men in a joint investigation team (JIT) probing into the killing of a PTI worker in riots on Dec 8.

They also demanded the arrest of the people named in the case.

They demanded the restructuring of the JIT and arrest of Sanaullah, District Coordination Officer Noorul Ameen Mengal and others booked in the murder case of PTI worker Haq Nawaz who was shot dead during the Dec 8 strike, called by the PTL PTI Faisalabad President Rana Raheel said the heirs of Haq Nawaz were running from pillar to post for justice while the alleged 1(illers were deciding the fate of the case.

He said three members of the JIT -DSP Ahmed Shah and inspectors Yasir Jutt and Abdul Majeed -had strong connections with Sanaullah and they would not dispense jus-tice by any means.

Insaf Students Federation President Farrukh Habib told reporters through a crossversion filed by a resident of Sitara Colony, the PML-N had identified Pervaiz Jutt, an alleged handler of the gunmen accused of killing Haq Nawaz, as member of the party.

`We reject the crossversion and the JIT as well,` he added.

He said Sanaullah was handling the investigation of the case through the JIT and Factory Area DSP Malik Khalid, accused in the case, was still serving and extending protocol to the arrested suspects.

Through such tactics, he said the government could not ensure free and fair investigation.

He said they would besiege the house of Sanaullah if the government did not arrest him.

He said the government would have avoided the murder of Haq Nawaz, had it arrested Rana Sana after the Model Town incident.

City Police Officer Sohail Habib Tajik held talks with the protesters and assured them of fair investigation in the case.
