Former minister joins JUI-F in Karak

2017-12-25
KARAK: Malik Zafar Azam, who was minister for parliamentary aff airs in the former Muttahida Majlas-iAmal government in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has joined Jamiat Ulema-iIslam-Fazl (JUI-F).

He made the announcement at a public meeting in his native Takht-i-Nusrati tehsil here on Sunday in the presence of party`s provincial chief Senator Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan.

Speaking on the occasion, Gul Naseeb condemned Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-S chief Maulana Samiul Haq for not joining the MMA, and claimed the latter could not reach parliament alone.

He alleged that Pakistan People`s Party and Pakistan Muslim League-N were enjoying governments in the centre and Sindh, respectively, but failed to restore peace in the country.

Mr Naseeb said billions of rupees were being spent on security agencies but mosques, religious seminaries and universities were not safe from terrorist attacks.

While coming down hard on the provincial govern-ment of Pakistan Tehreek-iInsaf, the JUI-F senator alleged that corruption had increased in the province during the PTI tenure. He said patwari culture still existed in the province.

He maintained that the PTI had failed to implement a uniform system of education in the province, saying several classes were being produced in the society due to the class-based education system. He stated that despite having degrees the youths were unemployed as jobs were being sold.

Mr Naseeb claimed that as long as corrupt mafia and US stooges ruled Pakistan won`t achieve economic prosperity.

He said if properly utilised Karachi and Gwadar ports could bring economic revolution in the country.

The JUI-Fleaderclaimed that presence of Ulema in parliament guaranteed no laws repugnant to Islam were enacted. He insisted that if JUI-F was voted to power it would bring the country out of the `slavery` of US and put it on the track of progress and development.Correspondent
