RAWALPINDI: Police have solved a case in which a man was murdered in Kallar Syedan and arrested two persons, including the wife of the deceased.
The murder took place last Monday when Abid Hussain, 35, was on his way home after picking his wife from her parents’ house in Dhamial. Abid’s wife claimed that they were heading to Kallar Syedan on a motorcycle when her husband was gunned down by two suspected robbers.
The victim’s father, Nazar Hussain, in his complaint, said his son had married his cousin a year ago. He said Abid had come home on leave seven days ago, and on Monday, he left for his in-laws’ house.
He claimed in the FIR that he received a call from his daughter-in-law at night that Abid had been shot by two unidentified persons. He said after receiving the call he and his son Asif rushed to the spot and found Abid’s body.
He said his daughter-in-law told him that the robbers snatched their motorcycle, gold jewellery and mobile phone, and also shot dead her husband on resistance. After registration of an FIR, police launched an investigation during which the wife of the deceased was interrogated who confessed to having killed her husband along with her friend.
The woman and her friend worked in the same factory before she got married to her cousin Abid. Police said the wife of the deceased and her friend had been arrested and remanded in police custody. — Staff Reporter
